The Alta Marshal's Office is located across from the Alta Lodge.

Marshal Mike Morey heads the four-officer department with category 1 trained officers as a strong presence in the town. Their experience and expertise on and off the mountain make them a knowledgeable force. Complex public safety procedures such as temporarily restricting the highway for snow safety, interlodge, and search & rescue are routine for this department.
